Find the far side before leaving the near side

Before a gap, find the far landing and a visible point for the rope. The hook can catch while the cart still misses the platform. Keep your eyes on where the wheels will arrive, then choose a line that gives the cart room to land.

Do not treat every empty space between platforms as the same jump. The size of the opening, the available structures, and the cart’s current line can differ. The public Roblox description does not give a universal rope range or a stage-by-stage route, so use the visible scene in front of you.

Run the edge-anchor-landing check

Before moving, locate these three points in order:

  1. Near edge: where will the cart lose support?
  2. Anchor: what visible structure could the hook reach?
  3. Far landing: where should the wheels touch down?

If you cannot name the third point, change your camera position or wait for a clearer angle. A shot into an overhead structure with no planned landing can still put the cart below the far platform.

Rope never attachesKeep the approach and try a clearer visible structure.
Rope attaches too lateTry an earlier shot with the same anchor.
Cart passes the platformAdjust the approach and check whether a slow control is available.
Cart lands at a poor angleAim the cart toward more open ground before the crossing.

Change one point per attempt. That turns a series of falls into a useful comparison. Invented values such as “fire exactly three seconds before the edge” will not help when the course changes.

Keep the landing visible in two-player mode

One rider can call the anchor while the other watches where the cart will land. Agree on the plan before entering a narrow section. The official art confirms two riders can share a cart, but does not define permanent seat roles. Follow the live seat controls. If your view is blocked by another cart, wait for space rather than launching without sight of the far side.

For more on choosing a hook target, see the aiming guide. For the moment to fire, see the hook timing guide.

FAQ

Does the grapple automatically land the cart?

Do not assume so. Plan where the wheels will arrive even if the rope attaches.

Is there a fixed maximum gap size?

The game does not publish a range value. Judge the current structure and cart position in the live game.

Should I change aim and speed after every miss?

Change one thing first. That makes it easier to identify what helped.

Can another cart affect my crossing?

It can at least block your view in a busy scene. Wait for a clear line before committing.

What if I cannot see the far landing?

Reposition your view or delay the attempt until you can identify it. A blind hook shot is hard to repeat or correct.
